Airocide Defender

Disinfection System for HVAC

Installed inside air ducts, or the final section of the AHU (Air Handling Unit), the Airocide Systems Defender disinfects the air flowing through the system and eradicates viruses, bacteria, molds and spores.

Simple, Small and Easy to Retrofit

The Defender creates a UVGI barrier that inhibits the proliferation of pathogens settling inside the air conditioning unit. In AC systems, an unsafe biofilm often covers all inner surfaces. Microorganisms proliferate due to favorable conditions such as temperature changes, high humidity, and darkness. Defender inhibits the creation of this biofilm, increasing Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and comfort. The Defender is important not only for IAQ and health, but for a cleaner, more economically efficient AC system, with less operational and maintenance costs.

With Defender you obtain continuous disinfection of your AC system without the use of expensive and polluting chemicals.
• In-duct UVGI module for continuous air disinfection in ducts/AHUs
• Destroys viruses, bacteria, molds, and spores; chemical-free
• Stainless-steel construction; compact and easy retrofit
• Universal unit with three lamp options: ~70W, 120W, 190W

The Defender family includes a range of flange modules with two “U” lamps of different sizes (from 20 to 50 cm) and power ratings (from 70W to 190W) protected by a stainless steel grid.

One Universal Unit, Three Lamp Options

Compact size and on-board commands allow easy application in existing air conditioning systems. Easy to install: insert lamps within air ducts through two holes using drilling template provided, and screw flange on the external channel.

Ballasts are inserted directly inside the case and are specific to Airocide Systems Duct UV-C lamps, optimizing their performances and durability.
Defender is made with high quality and extremely durable components and works perfectly in difficult operating conditions of high humidity, low temperatures, and more.

What Is a Portable Commercial Air Purification System?

Portable commercial air purification systems are designed to help improve indoor air quality within occupied environments where localized air treatment is needed. These systems are commonly used in healthcare facilities, offices, schools, public environments, and other indoor spaces where airborne contaminants and indoor environmental quality are important considerations.

Unlike permanently installed HVAC purification systems, portable air purification units can be positioned within specific rooms or occupied areas to support targeted indoor air quality strategies.

The Airocide Defender portable air purification system is designed to support cleaner indoor environments through continuous air treatment within occupied commercial spaces.

How Portable Air Purification Systems Support Indoor Air Quality

Indoor environments can contain airborne particles, odors, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and microbial contaminants that circulate through occupied spaces. Portable air purification systems continuously process indoor air to support broader indoor environmental quality initiatives.

Portable air treatment systems are often evaluated for spaces where localized air quality support is beneficial, including waiting areas, treatment rooms, classrooms, offices, conference rooms, and shared indoor environments.

  • Supports indoor air quality initiatives
  • Helps reduce airborne contaminants within occupied spaces
  • Designed for portable and flexible deployment
  • Can support healthcare, education, and commercial environments
  • Supports broader environmental hygiene strategies

Applications for Portable Air Purification Systems

Healthcare Facilities

Portable air purification systems may be used in healthcare environments where localized indoor air quality support is desired within patient rooms, waiting areas, treatment spaces, and staff-accessible environments.

Schools and Educational Facilities

Schools and universities often evaluate portable air purification systems to support cleaner indoor learning environments and shared occupied spaces.

Commercial Offices

Office environments, conference rooms, and shared workspaces may use portable air purification systems to support employee comfort and indoor air quality initiatives.

Hospitality and Public Spaces

Hotels, reception areas, public facilities, and high-traffic indoor environments may benefit from portable air treatment solutions designed for occupied spaces.
