How Airocide® Air Purifiers Work
Airocide’s patented Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) technology completely traps and destroys harmful airborne microorganisms and pollutants that cannot be caught by HEPA filters.
A photocatalyst incorporating TiO2 is irradiated with photons from our proprietary UV lights, forming hydroxyl radicals which reduce to trace elements of CO2 and water. The catalyst surface absorbs and eliminates airborne pollutants like VOCs (including Ethylene), mold, bacteria, pathogens, viruses and odors.
Listed as a Class II Medical Device by the U.S. FDA, Airocide is green and safe. No ozone. No harmful byproducts. Easy to install: just mount, plug in, and it’s ready to go!
Airocide GCS Series Air Purifiers
Airocide’s GCS series is ideal for larger spaces where noise and aesthetics matter. These quiet, elegant units were originally designed for healthcare settings, with white thermoform covers enabling them to blend into their environments. Over time they have become the industry standard in larger settings for not just healthcare, but also for removal of ethylene gas and mold in perishables coolers, as well as to sanitize air in classrooms, premier commercial buildings, and restaurants the world over.
